Lottie Loves… Finishing School – Week 1

By | June 9, 2010

I’ve decided to take part in The Finishing School run by Lottie over at Lottie Loves…

This week Lottie wrote about Attitude and the challenge was to think about what makes you happy about yourself.

Which bits of you do you like, which bits of you do you love?  What have you achieved that you look at with satisfaction and joy? What do you like about your body? What do you love about being the woman you are?

Right then… I’m not so good at writing good things about myself but I shall give it a go.

I’ve got a fairly good figure, a size 10-12 depending on where I shop and thats a good thing!  Its sounds quite odd but I love my arms.  They’re just perfect for me, not fat and not thin but a nice shape.

I like my eyes, they’re a nice blue colour, and I love when my freckles come out in the summer.

I like the fact that people feel they can talk to and confide in me, a trait I seem to have inherited from my mum.

The thing that I look at with satisfaction and joy has got to be my daughter.  For me, being a mum is the best job in the world, despite not being a particularly maternal person before.  However, almost a year after giving birth, I’m discovering the other me again, the me thats not just a mum but also a wife, friend, daughter and sister.  Part of this discovery is down to reading blogs such as Lottie Loves… Hell, I even wore a dress on Friday, and it wasn’t to go to a wedding!

Thank you so much for taking part! I am so pleased you wore a dress – it’s great isn’t it? Do it again this Friday! xx
