Haba wooden toys

By | July 16, 2010

I recently won a competition on Twitter run by Michele (@toptipsmum) and she sent me a lovely Sylvanian Families toy shop and also threw in a dvd and some figures (she’s lovely, if you’re a twitter mum or dad, go follow her!)

Michele works for a company called Evolution PR and in the parcel I also found a couple of little Haba toys for me to play with review.  They were both small wooden toys, which I love, and were both for babies age 6 months +.

The first was the Sunni clutch toy:

It’s a lovely bright toy with a bell in the back so it makes a noise.  The rays are on elastic so can be pulled and moved.  C liked this as it made a noise when she shook it and she figured out that she could pull opposite rays and make the sun spin.  C is almost 13 months so is probably a little old for this and it wouldn’t keep her amused as long as it may do a younger baby but it’s still a lovely toy and she seemed to enjoy playing with it.

The second item was the Pixie World clutch toy:

Again, this is a gorgeous wooden clutch toy, probably best suited to babies around 6 months old.  C did seem to like this one too as it has a bell on it and she loves to make a noise!  The little items are on elastic so can be twisted around and pulled.

These Haba toys are made from beech wood and are painted with non-toxic water-based paints and varnish.

I adore wooden toys and Haba are one of the best in my opinion.  Even the boxes are fun apparently!

I love these!! I think my friend’s little girl had one but I couldn’t remember where she got them from. Might have to pay their site a visit as I’m sure my Sept bump would appreciate them!
