8 weeks to go

Weeks remaining: 8

Gifts purchased this week: 1

We’re getting closer but I don’t really seem to be getting very far with gift buying.  I really must pick up the pace.

Another thing I need to try and sort in the next couple of weeks is cards.  I have some left over from last year due to us moving house in December and me hardly sending any but I want to try and send some more personalised ones.

I was thinking of being creative and making some with C.  I’ve been trawling some of my favourite crafty blogs and come up with a couple of ideas.

Over on Red Ted Art’s blog you can see how to make some lovely Christmas trees which can be used as cards but also as tree decorations or attached to a garland.

NurturesStore has a post about some Snowman thank you cards but I don’t see why these can’t be used as Christmas cards too.

If you’re lazy or really not the crafty type you could use a photo company such as Truprint and get some photo cards done.

I’d really love it if you could let me know any other Christmas craft ideas.  If you could leave me a comment with some ideas, or a link to one of your blog posts I’d be really grateful!

I have box’s of cards left over from last yearso I’m pleased I dont have to go ‘card hunting’. As for Christmas presents we have nothing yet! We dont even know what we’re doing Christmas day.. Jon turned to me last night and said we should buy a turkey soon. My reply was ‘I dont think so darling’ we’re going to your Mothers. Then I dont have to cook/clean.. Just get drunk and embarass myself instead!:)

We’re spending Christmas day at home for the first time this year. We’ve always gone to one of our parents in the past so it will be quite a novelty. Luckily the hubby helps out with cooking so dinner will be a joint effort.

Ah, thanks for he Christmas Tree mention :-) Have another snowman one coming soon, that you can alternate on the garland with!!

Need to think about what Christmas cards to send this year too! I think I can get 10 out of Red Ted if I am lucky… but need a few more than that!!!!

Emma – I made a deal with OH when we got married, that he ALWAYS “does” Christmas and I put my feet! Hooray for deals!

Wow, how did you manage to make a deal like that? Although to be honest I’m not sure I’d rest if it was all left to my husband!
