KidsIQ Books

By | January 15, 2011

Quite a while ago I was asked if I would like to be sent something to review from KidsIQ books.  We’ve read to C from her being really young and she loves books so I wasn’t going to say no!

We were sent the Mr Men glitter collection which is a set of 6 stories featuring the most popular characters.

They’re lovely stories and quite a good length.  They’re aimed at 3 years plus which I guess is due to the length of them but we’ve never really took any notice of the age guidelines on books.  As long as it has a good story, accompanied by nice pictures, we’ll read it!  These books definitely meet all our requirements.  The stories are good and the pictures are nice and bright.

The RRP for this set is £17.94 but you can get it from KidsIQ books for £8.99 which is great value.

They sell the whole original Mr Men & Little Miss collections too, which I’ve got my eye on for C’s next birthday, as well as lots of other books and book collections.  Another one on my wish list is the Thomas the Tank Engine collection.

Haha, I’m (supposedly) an adult but they look awesome! Are they re-written fairytales (e.g. the beanstalk one) or new stories?

The original series of these books is just so cute and appealing that my own Little Miss Bubbly has been reading them for years.

Haven’t seen the glitter version yet.

Great, informative review.
