Camping with Kids

By | March 17, 2011

You may have read in previous posts that we really enjoy camping as a family. M & I only began camping about 4 years ago but quickly became hooked!  We started out with a tiny 3 man tent and a gas stove but after the first summer we upgraded to a large 6 man tent with all the extras.

We generally stick to the Peak District for our trips as it’s a gorgeous area and only an hours drive away which is especially important now we have C who’s not that keen on long car journeys.

Last summer C was barely crawling so I think we generally had it quite easy with her.  This year is going to be a bit different as she loves exploring and doesn’t really have any sense of boundaries so we’re going to have to keep a close eye on her so she doesn’t wander off!

As we approach camping season, and throughout the summer, I’m hoping to bring you my top tips for camping with kids (I even have a badge!) including reviews of campsites we visit, must-have products and any other tips I can think of!

Yay! Can’t wait to hear your capsite reviews and hints and tips. What tent did you get? What’s the best camping kitchenware and tableware? Lots of questions. Would really like to try camping in Europe too…
