Clippy Bag: A Review

By | May 11, 2011

Have you heard of Clippy?  Clippy is the creation of Calypso Rose who made her first Clippy bag on her kitchen table as she wanted to display all her polaroids.  This first bag got a lot of attention and she started producing more and more, with Helena Bonham Carter and Jools & Jamie Oliver becoming fans of the brand.

I’m a huge fan of Helena Bonham Carter so when I was asked if I’d like to make a custom one to review I jumped at the chance.

The website is very easy to use.  You need to choose which bag you want, I went for the medium bag, then choose either the free images on the site or upload your own direct from your computer or from your facebook account.  I used a mixture of my own and the free images.

You can mess around with the design and move your pictures around until you like it then simply complete the checkout and sit back and wait!

I was hugely impressed with the speed of the delivery.  I finished my order on a Monday evening and the bag was delivered on Wednesday which I thought was fantastic.

The bag itself is great.  In my other life I’m an accountant so I’ve decided to use this bag for work as it’s the perfect size for folders, and just because I like being a little different and a black briefcase isn’t really me.

The great thing about the bag is that, if you get bored, you can put different photos in the pockets, or notes, buttons, badges, anything at all really, it’s completely versatile.

It doesn’t have to be a regular bag you make either.  They also do washbags, ringbinders and, my favourite, the dolly brolly.

You can also buy linings to go in the bags to keep your contents private which I might treat myself too, and sticker kits to customize your bag even further.

You can find Clippy on their website, follow them on twitter and like their facebook page.
