Child Safety Week 2011 (and a giveaway)

Child Safety week this year runs from 20th to 26th June and is being sponsored by Argos, the UK’s number 1 safety retailer, and Lindam, the UK’s number 1 safety brand. Organised by the Child Accident Prevention Trust, the week aims to raise awareness of the accidents that seriously injure or kill children and help advise parents on how to prevent them.

Lindam have been making safety gates for over 25 years and is sponsoring the event with the aim of helping parents reduce accidents in the home. We use Lindam safety gates in our house, as have most of our friends with children, and I personally wouldn’t use any other brand.

The theme for this year’s Child Safety Week is ‘take a second look for safety’. Simple things such as making sure cleaning products are locked away, stair gates are closed or that a hot drink is out of reach can prevent many accidents.

To help you ensure your house is safe, I’ve got a Lindam Home Safety Kit and an Easy Fit safety gate to giveaway.

To enter, simply leave me a comment telling me which item you’d like to win and I will then pick a winner at random for each item.

The safety gate would do it for me, our little girl is only 10 weeks but I know she’s going to be one hell of a mover some time soon and we have the steepest stairs in the world
