So now the clocks have gone back it means driving home in the dark and cold, which in turn means we’ll be eating more warming winter food. The slow cooker will be used more over the coming months, which isn’t a bad thing, it just means more organisation on my part in a morning!
This weeks plan looks like this:
- Chicken and pasta bake with garlic bread
- Sausage and bean casserole (slow cooker)
- Red Thai beef curry
- Gnocchi and tomato bake
We’re having a bonfire and fireworks on Saturday night and will be doing a barbecue as long as it’s dry. I have a few idea’s for different meat marinades to try and make things a little more exciting than the usual sausage and burgers. I’m sure I’ll be making a batch of bonfire toffee at the end of the week too.
