This post is a little late as C turned thirty months old in between Christmas and New Year but I just haven’t had chance to write it until now.
I look back at my Ten and Twenty posts and can’t believe how fast the time has gone and how much she’s grown. Ten months ago she was just learning to count and knew a couple of colours. She now actually counts objects, rather than just learning how to say the numbers in the right order, and knows all the regular colours, even as far as gold and silver. She’s just starting to do jigsaws on her own – we’re up to 9 pieces when she does it on her own and has managed 12 with a nudge in the right direction!
When I wrote my post ten months ago, C knew lots of words and was just starting to put together short sentences. She now knows so many words, and the phrases that she comes out with sometimes make her sound like a little old lady. We do joke that she’s 2 going on 62.
She started going to a local preschool one morning a week back in July and, although it took her a few weeks to settle, she now loves it and looks forward to going every week.
She is now toilet trained, day and night, which was completely down to her when she refused to wear a nappy to bed in October. She may be small but she knows what she wants and is very stubborn. Thankfully we’ve actually had very few accidents and I’m glad to see the back of nappies.
She does have a short fuse, just like her father, but she’s mostly really well-behaved. Long may it continue!
