As I mentioned in my previous post about the Dora Little Cooks Collection, we’re lucky to have been offered a subscription to the magazine. We’re now up to issue 7 but I’ve been very disorganised when it comes to shopping recently and keep forgetting to buy the ingredients needed to make the recipes in the magazines.
Luckily for me, the last issue had a recipe in for chocolate cupcakes and we happened to have all the ingredients in the cupboard so we set about making them this weekend (yes, we did them in our pyjamas).
Like all the recipes in the Dora magazines, there are a minimal amount of ingredients and the steps are very easy to follow.
First we mixed together the butter and sugar, then we added the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, vanilla essence and an egg. We mixed everything together then put them in our silicone cases and baked them for around 15 minutes.
While we waited for them to cook, it was time for this:
Once we’d made a suitable mess of our faces, and let the cupcakes cool, we decided to decorate them with vanilla buttercream and chocolate sprinkles.
As usual in our house, the cupcakes barely lasted a day as they were really tasty!
We’re looking forward to trying out more recipes from the Dora Little Cooks Collection soon.
