Win an Usborne Farmyard Tales Box Set from The Works

By | July 4, 2012

I have a lovely giveaway for you today.  At just turned 3, C is already a complete bookworm and I hope it continues.  We often buy books from The Works as you can get some lovely books at great prices.

I was asked by The Works if I’d like to host a giveaway on my blog and I have an Usborne Farmyard Tales box set for one lucky reader.

This 20-book box set contains all of the delightful stories about Apple Tree Farm. Join Poppy, Sam, their dog Rusty, Woolly the sheep and Curly the pig in a series of adventures in the countryside created uniquely by Usborne Farmyard Tales. Specially written by children’s book author H. Amery, each of these tales is the perfect storybook for young readers.

Perfect for those children just learning to read and beautifully illustrated, the Farmyard Tales provide a wealth of reading enjoyment and excitement.

To be in with a chance of winning this lovely set of books, simply leave me a comment telling me what your childs (or your) favourite farmyard animal is.

For an additional entry, join The Works mailing list by e-mailing competitions@theworks.co.uk with subject line ‘Mailing list’ and leave me an extra comment telling me you’ve done so.

The competition ends at midnight on Sunday 15th July 2012 and a winner will be picked at random.

I agree- a lovely giveaway! There can never be too many books! My daughter is 14 months and seems to like every animal in the world. She can make the funniest “mole” impression! :-)

I used to sell Usborne Books in another life and my eldest adored Farmyard tales and Poppy & Sam! Believe or not we don’t have a proper collection any more and I’m looking forward to introducing my youngest to these much loved character.
Our favourite farmyard character is a pig!

These books are fantastic. From about 18 months old, my daughter would ask for these books to be read over & over again, and would often be found leafing through them quietly on her own. The illustrations are clear, and the stories easy to understand.
