We’ve had a lovely weekend, spent most of it outside which means on the one hand that barely any housework has been done, but also that the house is fairly tidy anyway as nobody has been in it!
Friday began with filling the paddling pool up for C. She’s had chicken pox this past week but is now back to her normal cheerful self, just with a few spots added on. She loved the pool, and it did her spots a lot of good too. It also meant I could sit in the sunshine and watch some tennis on the iPad.
Once M got home from work we went over to my parents for a barbecue tea and watched yet more tennis. We didn’t stay late as M had to get up for work at 4.30am the next morning.
Saturday morning started with breakfast on the patio in our pj’s then progressed to playing with play doh out there too.
Once M got in from work we took C to a large toy shop near us so she could pick something to spend her birthday money on. We ended up with a Mrs Potato Head, a mystery machine and a Kermit soft toy, nice and random!
Saturday evening was spent at my parents (luckily they only live a 2 minute walk from us) with my parents, brother and his girlfriend and some friends of ours. It was a lovely warm evening and we sat outside until late (and C fell asleep on the sofa!)
Another warm day on Sunday and M and C were in the paddling pool for most of the day. I spent a happy couple of hours watching the Wimbledon final outside again – one things for sure, I wouldn’t want to sell my iPad this weekend – and we had a lovely salad for lunch.
It’s been a really fab weekend and I’m sad it’s over. Let’s hope the warm weather stays for a while longer. This post contains a sponsored link
